We have had some absolutely scorching weather recently in the UK, even up here in the north my car tells me we hit over 30 degrees celsius on Friday. Not the best timing for me since my newly adopted cat isn’t allowed outside for 4 weeks and I can’t open any windows (remember we don’t do AC in the UK), but we move. All of this to say it felt like a perfect time for a Summer superstars blog...
These gorgeous high-waisted breeches feature a higher polyamide content than others styles making them exponentially more breathable. A great choice for those who still want a structured and elegant breech, but don’t want to overheat.
Call me old-fashioned, but riding in a vest top is not my vibe. Possibly because I’m thinking forward to how my outfit will fair in the emergency room when I get on a horse (I fell off. A LOT.) and I can just see some gorgeous Clooney-esque doctor chastising me for such an inappropriate sartorial choice, but it just feels unsafe to me, and if I’m being honest not a very smart look. The Jarla to me feels sturdier and also thanks to the collar is super tasteful and smart. Great if you’re having a session with your trainer or headed to a clinic in high temperatures. This is a beloved style which has been produced by Pikeur for going 10 years, so the proof really is in the pudding.
Whilst their entire catalogue is great, gloves are in my opinion one of Cavalleria Toscana’s best offerings. Reasonably priced and top tier quality, you really can’t go wrong. This particular style is super lightweight and breathable, allowing for great airflow through the mesh fabric. You can probably sense I’m a stickler for safety, and I simply would not get on a horse without gloves. I understand they add to your warmth but with this fabulous pair you needn’t sweat it.
For some, sleeveless isn’t an option, so this tee is a great alternative if you need a super cool (in both senses of the word) riding shirt. It is chic, flattering and the fabric - I’m going to say it superseded Lululemon in my opinion as the perfect material to move in.
Oh you didn’t think that was all for you? I got a bit carried away (possibly heatstroke) and curated a whole online collection of summer sizzlers to help you beat the heat in style:
