The past 5 years in Equestrian retail have been the focus of more change than the last 50. With innovation and functionality pulling the rug out from under out-dated and impractical riding wear... what a time to be alive!

Notably, we’ve waived goodbye to prison-like competition jackets available only to certain shapes and sizes. Larger busted ladies can rejoice in the knowledge that the majority of Pikeur’s jackets now feature concealed zips and elasticated fabrics designed to eliminate the mortifying inconvenience of mid-competition ‘button-popping’. Instead these clever design features create and elegant outline for everyone which will have you feeling your absolute best when you enter that arena!

In some ways, it’s a wonder it has taken so long for this kind of chance to come about, equestrianism is a sport after all, and yet comfort and functionality were so often neglected when designing the uniform. We recognise that feeling comfortable and able to move is just as important as looking the part, which is why we are show-casing pieces that encompass both of these components.

One of our favourites is the beautiful Pikeur Saphira jacket, with a stunningly elegant shape and some serious bling, there’s no denying the wow-factor of this coat. However; of equal note should be the incredible soft-shell fabric and sweat-wicking lining for ultimate comfort. Along with our entire range of competition jackets, this coat is machine washable at 30 degrees celsius using a non-biological detergent.

Outside of the competition ranges, we’ve still seen some great strides in the right direction towards comfort and functionality, with fabrics to suit every climate and some amazingly innovative casual wear. We also recognise that your riding style is an expression of who you are, which is why we choose to stock ranges that offer something for everyone, from subtle and classic designs, to bedazzling bling and bewilderingly bright colours. This season we’re loving the Klea Vario jacket which comes in some beautiful shades of blue, bordeaux and grey.
